Pre-construction Service and Estimating
Our Pre-construction and Estimating Department has many years of experience with all water based fire suppression systems. We are regularly involved in the early stages of design and pre-construction by providing budgeting to our clients followed by guaranteed maximum pricing with design and build projects as well as publicly bid projects.
Our experience and knowledge allows us to design and install a multitude of water based fire suppression systems such as wet pipe, dry pipe, deluge and pre-action with nitrogen, and foam. These systems may also require secondary water supplies such as fire pumps and occasionally a water storage tank. Our fire pump experience includes electric and diesel driven pumps using in-line, horizontal, and vertical lift pumps.
Our success has covered many types of projects for new construction as well as renovations of existing facilities. Examples of the projects we have completed are new and existing hospitals, office buildings, high-rise buildings, pharmaceutical plants, nursing and medical facilities, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, schools, universities, state and federal government facilities. We have the experience and knowledge to assist and complete your next project, no matter how diverse.
Design/ Project Management
Our In House Sprinkler System Design Department and Project Management Team are comprised of highly motivated individuals who offer a wealth of knowledge to accurately design our clients projects. Our staff are NICET (National Institute for the Certification of Engineering Technologies) Certified and accurately produces project plans to meet the requirements of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), State and Local codes, and Insurance Underwriter requirements.
Our team has an excellent working relationship with Architects, Engineers, Plan Reviewers, and Inspectors which help assure success on all of our clients projects.
Our Design Department utilizes leading edge software such as AutoCAD and HydraCAD to produce our plans with. These programs not only allow us to produce drawings for submission and installation but also allow us to create fabrication lists as well as 3-D BIM Model for coordination purposes.
With projects being challenged to be completed on shorter time frames, BIM (Building Information Modeling) is becoming more recognizable as a tool in which overhead coordination can be conducted. Utilizing Navisworks software, we are able to resolve clashes with other trades in our office prior to materials being fabricated and installed on the job. This effort greatly reduces the need for adjusting of materials once installed. Allied Fire Protection, Inc. is a strong believer in BIM (Building Information Modeling) as a highly effective tool to save time, both during the design/coordination stage as well as field installation of our clients projects.
Fabrication
Located at 80 Rupert Road, Raleigh, North Carolina, our “In House” Fabrication Department is an integral part of our success. “Self Performing” our fabrication gives us optimal quality control of the workmanship of the fabrication, and the ability to control scheduling of activities, by removing the middle man. Our Warehouse is fully stocked with the pipe, fittings, sprinkler heads, valves, etc. that are needed to complete the job. We have certified welders, truck drivers, and trained staff to assure timely delivery on our company trucks to the project. We also have long lasting relationships with many fabrication vendors, in the event that we need to outsource our fabrication.
